So a lot of people have been asking me where they can purchase plants. I’m not familiar with anything outside of Toronto but here’s a list of online plant stores that have either been recommended to me by other plant people or that I know about. I’ll continue to maintain this list as long as plants are in my life (pretty much for eternity!).
Please note that buying local is always easier because your plants don’t have to go through the long shipping process and bump around in a dark box for days. Stores that ship worldwide will also incur heavy fees for this thing called the Phytosanitary Certificate. This is essentially the license they need for exporting plants to other countries. Some countries also require the buyer to provide an import certificate. All in all, there are a lot of things to consider. The good thing though is that they probably have THAT rare plant you’ve been looking for 🙂
Thank you to @plantladycatlady and @jrlefrancois for providing some of these shops!
So that’s it! Happy plant shopping!

I actually have a varigated Monstera I’m selling as I have two now. All depends on what you call an arm & a leg. I also sell a lot of other varigated plants, hard to find plants & regular plants. Also do trades, plants for plants, or cuttings for cuttings. Thanks again from West Kelowna BC Canada or you can find me on Facebook Marketplace in the Okanagan.
Thanks for sharing! How does it work if ordering from stores outside Canada?
Also, wondering if you know where I can get a variegated monsters that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg…?
TIA
